When I used to build sites like that I’d
Find a great domain, add content only to see little or no results.
Hardly get any traffic…and IF it did come it was a small trickle that would never pay the bills
I’d spend $100 a month on SEO only to bounce up and down in the rankings
I’d be lucky to add one or two subscribers a day to my list from the traffic trickle
It took MONTHS to see any real improvement or results…and even then I was completely at the mercy of Google and their schizophrenic rules and updates…
When the penguin finally kicked my last site off the SERPs I knew that I had to change my approach.
