Version 3.0 of Lumion is a breakthrough because it is a serious alternative for traditional rendering or outsourcing visualizations.
When visualization is not your primary profession you need software that?s easy to pick up. You need something that gets the job done and you can rely on. Ease of use combined with speed and excellent results is what makes Lumion unique.
3.0.1 Changes & Improvements:
- BLEACH: The Bleach effect is now available in 3.0.1.
- (2D) CLOUDS: Press U in Photo or Movie mode to temporarily see (2D) clouds in render quality in 3.0.1. This also works while you are adjusting the cloud sliders but just bear in mind that it does make Lumion slower while you're pressing the U key.
- FOCAL LENGTH: In 3.0.1, this has been integrated in the Handheld camera effect as a slider that can be animated.
- SINGLE IMAGES: In Movie mode there is a new Single tab in the Save Movie/Create movie from clip menus. This lets you render single images and export custom map types too (including Print and Poster resolutions).
- CLIP TYPE -> IMAGE: It is now possible to apply effects to this clip type.
- NAVIGATION: In 3.0.1 the navigation has been made a little easier:
Shift + AWSDQE -> Double speed
Spacebar + AWSDQE -> Super speed (even faster than the current top speed in 3.0)
- HORIZON CLOUDS: The Far clouds effect from Lumion 2 has been be re-instated as a new effect called Horizon Clouds in 3.0.1. The shading of these clouds has also been improved so they match the other new cloud types.
BUGFIXES
- 32-BIT BUGS: It is possible to render MP4 videos and image sequences again in 3.0.1.
- SHADOW RANGE: The Shadow range has increased to the same value as in Lumion 2.5 (slider range 0-2 instead of 0-1).
- CLIP BAR: The damping has been reduced in order to make it easier to navigate in movies with many clips.
- 3D WALKING PEOPLE: The walking speed has been fixed in 3.0.1.
- CTRL + RELOAD (NEW FILE BUTTON): This button has been moved so it is no longer obscured behind other buttons.
