Autodesk Softimage - a high-performance software for 3D-animated characters and visual effects. Intuitive, non-destructive procedures, innovative environment ICE (Interactive Creative Environment), and facial animation tools Autodesk ® Face Robot ® greatly extends the workflow, organized on the basis of Autodesk ® Maya ® or Autodesk ® 3ds Max ®. With new features, improved interoperability with products from the Autodesk ® Entertainment Creation Suite Premium and support of advanced technologies Autodesk Softimage users to easily handle the most difficult tasks in the stages of development of 3D-gaming and post-production.
What's new:
Announced the following new features in a number of groups of instruments:
- Equipment and animation characters (Camera Sequencer)
- System dynamics simulation and ICE (ICE FX (enhanced), CrowdFX crowd simulation (enhanced))
- Rendering and Compositing (mental ray 3.11 with support for Ambient Occlusion calculations on GPU (NVIDIA OptiX), High-Quality Viewport (enhanced))
- Integration into the production line and the changes in architecture (Enhanced FBX support)
The new version is similar to other packages, fully translated into architecture x64.
Softimage 2014 is supported on the following 64-bit operating systems and at the minimum requires a system with the following 64-bit hardware:
Windows ® 7, Windows ® 8 Professional, or Fedora T 14 Linux ® operating system
64-bit Intel or AMD multi-core processor
4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
2 GB of free disk space for install
Refer to the recommended hardware wizard for a detailed list of recommended systems and graphics cards
The latest version of Microsoft ® Internet Explorer ®, Apple ® Safari ®, or Mozilla ® Firefox ® web browser to access online supplemental content
