The company "ROSA" produces the second service pack for the operating system ROSA Marathon 2012, which has an extended (five-year) period of technical support.
It includes current at April 2013 LTS-version of application software, an updated kernel to expand the range of supported hardware, and fixes that are critical to the security of the system.
In the update package is implemented rebranding of the company's product line "RONA". The full name of a release now looks like ROSA Enterprise Desktop X1, and Marathon will be used as the short quote name denoting the range of desktop systems for the corporate market and users with high requirements for stability.
The structure of RP2 included planned changes of the distribution system due to the timing packet bases Marathon with developments ROSA Desktop Fresh. For example: If you set the user can set the on / off key services (Samba, OpenVPN, CUPS, SSH); applied the updated version of the package management software (RPM 5.4 and a new base RPM DB5.2).
