Regarding the Windows Vista, when you start installation system will display a window of incompatibility, but allows you to continue with the installation.
Once installed, you may receive a message about the incompatibility.
I'm working under Vista no problems, but full compatibility is clearly not.
In general, when working in Delphi, recommend sitting as Administrator, as other accounts can not have any rights to tender for Delphi action. Hence, it may be silly situations with not starting or nekompilyatsiey, or the inability to write to the registry, and so on.
