Requirements I would suspect are any 64 Bit Intel Macs that 10.8 supports. But I suspect some unsupported 64 bit Intel Macs or hackintosh users may be able to find a way to use this too.
And just to stress what is mentioned in the quoted text from the instructions;
This is not the installer and was meant to be restored onto a freshly formatted volume. Technicians, Mac power users and tinkerers will understand how much easier and quicker this is than using the installer. :-D

- The disk image has been custom defragged and it would be highly recommended to use Apples Disk Utility to restore the OS onto a volume to preserve the custom defrag and file prioritizing. Or if your disk copying tool has a block level copy option which will work as well.
