Italian soul ambassador Luca Sapio made it his mission to bring Sugaray's music to the forefront and tracked him down to record his latest album, 'The World That We Live In.' It was recorded in Luca's analogue studio in Italy, with racks of vintage gear and a killer house band. What they have so magically created is an album which sounds like an instant classic.
Caron Sugaray Rayford grew up in Texas, his childhood marked by poverty and loss.His mother struggled to raise three boys alone while battling cancer.He was at church everyday and played and sang for the lord when his musical career began at the age of seven. Running on the gospel highway was not exciting like singing devilish blues records in the field of Son House, Howling Wolf and Muddy Waters.
