Fueled By Ramen has announced details of the new album from The Front Bottoms. GOING GREY arrives worldwide on Friday, October 13th.
Produced by The Front Bottoms and Nick Furlong at studios in London, Texas, California, New Jersey, and Connecticut, GOING GREY will be available for pre-order beginning Friday, September 8th.
GOING GREY finds The Front Bottoms embracing the impermanence of life and finding flexibility in the face of change. Having relocated band headquarters to the coastal New Jersey community of Asbury Park during the demoing stages of the album, GOING GREY sees the band acknowledging the nostalgia of simpler times with admiration, while welcoming the inevitable unknowns of life.
"I'm just not interested (in playing my music)," the singer told the Daily News with a laugh. "Honestly, I usually dip out halfway through the mixing process. I didn't really realize it was crazy, but everybody that I talk to is like, 'That's pretty nuts.'"
While Sella might not be tuning in come Friday, the New Jersey-based band's fervent fan base certainly will - and they can expect to hear a whole lot of growing up.
