SM101 Live Hats makes that a thing of the past. We've recorded one of the world's most in-demand session drummers to play 101 killer hi-hat grooves that will appeal to producers of all kinds of electronic music - from house and dubstep to disco, electro and chillout, to drum 'n' bass and dubstep.
What's Inside
When recording these loops we took the same approach as in the Vintage Breaks titles. A wide range of tried and tested recording techniques were explored, using different rooms, classic vintage mics, preamps, compressors and cymbals to create a range of sonic colours: from organic retro to tight and modern.
The result? Smooth, crispy hat lines at a range of tempos recorded with enough character to instantly start the groove but with all production options left open for you to use how you wish. Pan them, EQ them, effect them and sculpt them until they fit your mix.
The patterns cover a wide range of dance genres from 100bpm through to 174bpm - downtempo nu-disco funk, classic disco hats, house shuffles, swung two-step shuffles, dubstep skips and intricate sixteenths are here in abundance. Simply combine with your kick/snare loop and watch the groove jump to life.
