Innes Sibun plays high-energy Blues with intense passion, and he's done so from the tender age of 12 after hearing the B.B. King's Live At The Regal. Today Sibun's blistering, straightforward guitar artistry and raggedly sincere vocals at times recall the great Rory Gallagher. Mike Vernon (legendary producer of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton as well as all of the Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac albums) recorded Sibun's debut album. He's opened for Johnny Winter, Peter Green, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Taj Mahal, Walter Trout and many more. While in Chicago he played with some of his heroes like Buddy Guy & James Cotton, also jamming at Antone's club in Austin, Texas, Stevie Ray Vaughan's rhythm section: Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton, as well as with Chris Duarte & other Austin Blues-luminaries. By 1993 Innes was playing guitar for Robert Plant on the latter's Fate Of Nations tour and Innes can be heard on Plant's Sixty Six To Timbuktu and Nine Lives albums. In his own right he has recorded over half a dozen albums for various Blues labels. His recorded output garnering both critical and popular acclaim, Innes and his band regularly embark on shows throughout Europe, with forays into North America. Thus in 2011 Innes was invited to play in New York City for the Rory Gallagher tribute show at the Iridium Club in celebration of the release of Gallagher's posthumous Notes From San Francisco album. Fans and media were positively captivated by Sibun's dazzling fretwork on Lost In The Wilderness, his 2013 album on Blues Boulevard. Sibun has refined his craft with each new release, on Blues Transfusion, his brand-new album, Innes Sibun once again pours heart and soul into his music. While demonstrating his love for the diverse styles of Blues he now also leaps beyond the genre by inviting bass player Charlie Jones (Page & Plant, Goldfrapp) and drummer Clive Deamer (Robert Plant, Portishead, Radiohead) to participate in the recordings.
